Had a fantastic time with friends visiting historical homes like the magnificent Nathaniel Russell house and taking a stroll by The Battery. Our stay really stood out, especially with the excellent service from Maurice and refreshing lemonade on warm October afternoons. If you’re into history and beautiful architecture, you’ll love it here!

However, I found the parking situation a bit confusing, which added unnecessary stress to our arrival.

i’ve previously visited charleston, but this stay exceeded all my expectations. the location was perfect for exploring the historic district, and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. breakfast in the elegant ballroom was a delightful start to our day.

the afternoon tea was too limited.

The Courtyard provided a lovely space to relax with water available for walks, enhancing the experience. Breakfast options were extensive, and we relished the convenience of having it delivered to the beautifully adorned ballroom balcony each morning. However, parking was limited to a small area behind the property, and the cost added up. Additionally, while the staff was generally welcoming, a few moments of wait time for service were noticeable during busy hours.

The stay was amazing with delicious breakfasts in the ballroom and a cozy fireplace in our spacious room. I loved relaxing on the charming porch and indulging in the fresh coffee delivered right to our door. The only thing was the afternoon tea ran out quickly, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience. 😊

I loved the historic charm of the John Rutledge House. The decor felt cozy and welcoming. The location made it easy to explore Charleston on foot. Breakfast offered great options. I enjoyed the corned beef hash and the croque madame, both delicious. The afternoon tea was a delightful treat for the family. Staff members were friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home. However, the room faced a busy street, so some noise trickled in at times, which disrupted my sleep a bit. Housekeeping was mostly good, but there was a minor delay in getting extra towels. A more consistent attention to detail in these areas would enhance the experience even further.
